My name is Sion (Pronounced the same as Sean/Shaun) and I currently run a (soon to be) Anime Artist Website called Anime Art #Post (Still under construction!). It's a hobby of mine that coincides with my unquenchable thirst for Anime Art!

Anime Art #Post, or is a (soon to be) website dedicated to sharing, discussing and advertising Anime Artists from around the world; a place where Anime Artists are our main focus and where we aim to look not just at their work, but at them in particular; highlighting and unraveling their skills and talents to get a greater appreciation and understanding of them; the people behind these extraordinary projects.

Anime Art Post is a new and on ongoing project; we have much to do so for the moment is down for construction, but whilst it is down we will be keeping our followers updated with some of our favourite Anime Art and Artists from around the world; sharing on our Tumblr, Facebook, Twitter, Google+ and DeviantART Profiles.

You can find Anime Art Post over at -

No problem :) I came across your critique on Wolf Horo and your writing and insight intrigued me! I thought I recognized your name from somewhere (have we talked before?) and your DREALMS manga certainly flared a memory, though I never read it before this so I decided to delve into it and I am loving it! I have to say I haven't read many mangas or comics, so my experience and knowledge is little, but in comparison from what I little I have read, it is definitely one of the most easy to read, understand and intriguing mangas/comics I have ever read.

The way you structure your panels is fantastic; they're easy to follow and look great as a whole, with the art being just as easy to read and understand (adding to the flow of reading). The artwork is of course just as great, being both intriguing and fascinating to eye and mind - a perfect combination of easy to read panel structures and artwork with great and intriguing artwork and story.
Again, I haven't read many mangas/comics myself, the main one I am comparing it to right now is Tegami Bachi, which isn't all that easy to read, understand nore follow as yours is. I definitely enjoyed yours more :)

I sure will! The website has a long way to go yet, so it may not be up for a number of months etc. But I will most definitely let you know! I will most likely get in contact to ask you for a feature or something closely related. Your insight on Manga/Comic writing could definitely help a great number of people and I would love to share and get some of that knowledge out there, as well as your very own works :) Which I am hoping to do with the website.

Thanks for the reply by the way and I hope to see you around :) Cheers!

You came across my critique? Wow, that also happens to be my first and only one... so far. X'D I really liked that Wolf Horo painting.

Ummmm, don't remember us talking before, and have only ever put up 'Drealms' on DA and facebook, but am really glad you like it and find the story easy to read. THANK YOU. It was a painstaking process to work on the storytelling side of that manga, and I can tell you 200,000 mistakes (more, actually) with that 45 page one shot. X'D I assure you there are far better amateur works out there (needless to say professional ones).

If you haven't read many mangas, do check out Naruto (by Kishimoto Masashi), One Piece (Eichiro Oda), Bleach (Tite Kubo), Bakuman (Tsugumi Ohba & Takeshi Obata), and 20th Century Boys (Urasawa Naoki), which have been my favorites of all time and have learnt so much from their storytelling, layouts, art, etc.

I've found the secret to manga popularity is storytelling, because an amazing storyteller has the ability to engross the audience/reader when telling a story about (wait for it...) - a snail crossing the road. X'D - But a few amateur manga creators I know (myself included) actually got a little stuck trying to perfect the art, when it isn't near the top of the to do list. A reader will not mind mediocre art with an amazing story, but will not keep reading a mediocre story with great art.

All the best with the website development, will look forward to it.
